Have you always wanted to road race, but didn't have the car, budget, or skills? Here is your chance to have a lot of fun for a reasonable amount of money. Your club prez and I along with several others are racing a '74 260Z on October 3-4 for 24 hours at Nelson Ledges in Northeast Ohio.

We have five team members and need one more. This is real (more or less) racing in $500 cars for 24 hours straight against upwards of 120 other cars. You don't have to be a racer, or even have any real driving skills, but you would need a great attitude and be willing have some fun and take some abuse.

While this isn't super cheap, it is the best deal in motorsports. Face it, racing cost big bucks and none of us have any money, so this is the best we can do. If you are interested, let me know and I will fill you in on the details.

Even if you aren't interested in playing race car driver, you are welcome to come to the race and root us on or even help us turn wrenches on the car. We have a lot of work to do in the next seven weeks, so we could use some additional help.

I wish I could do this. Sounds like a ton of fun. I've never 'raced' before...only HPDE and OTDs. There's no way I could afford it, plus the only safety equipment I have is a helmet :) !
